UA students get to go on shopping spree at Target
WVUA (Tuscaloosa) – Aug. 20
Beginning in just about 30 minutes, incoming freshmen at the University of Alabama will have the chance for a free bus ride to go shopping. Super Target in Tuscaloosa is hosting a back-to-school sale tonight starting at 10:30 and lasting until 12:30. The event will feature a DJ, dancing, and back-to-school deals. Students will also get the opportunity to interact during the event on their smart phone with an application that offers shopping deals and social interaction with others attending the event. Store team leader, Rusty Crosslin, says the event is not just limited to freshmen. “Every student is invited … we’ve got a lot of great prizes that students can win as they come in. There’s some text to win information as they get here from home electronics to food, to a year’s supply of certain items. So we’ve got a lot of great freebies on board for our students coming to visit us tonight.”
