UA Honors College Hosts Printing Press Artist Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Honors College will host internationally known printing press artist Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. as a part of its Faculty-in-Residence Series on Wednesday, Jan. 26.

Kennedy will lead a print workshop from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in 206 Woods Hall, followed by a talk and discussion at 6 p.m. in 205 Gorgas Library.

Kennedy is also the subject of a documentary film, “Proceed and Be Bold!” which probes Kennedy, his friends, family and colleagues in an attempt to unravel the artist’s meaning. He found his calling making inexpensive chipboard posters that anyone can afford. His posters cover social, political and racial themes.
