For a successful technology experience through finals, consider the following tips:

  • Do not wait until the last minute. Submit assignments as soon as possible to avoid missed deadlines in the event of technology problems.
  • Be patient. When eLearning is busy, the system may get confused if users click continuously. Give the system several seconds to respond to clicks.
  • Be cautious when making changes to computer setups at crucial times. Click here to check browser and other technical specifications to ensure their compatibility with eLearning.

Contact the IT Service Desk at 348-5555 or itsd@ua.edu for assistance.

Personal safety starts with you. Protect yourself and your property by becoming informed and using good judgment. Always lock up valuable items. Lock your dorm or apartment door, even when you are home. Lock your car. Lock your bike. Use a locker and lock at the Student Recreation Center. If you work in a University office, lock your purse and other valuables in a cabinet or drawer. It takes practically no time to lock up, even if you are just leaving for a moment. University Police recommend that during school breaks you take computers, stereos and other valuables home with you. For more information on preventing theft, refer to the UA Safer Living Guide.
