TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Ferguson Center is inviting all seniors who are graduating in December to showcase their work during the Capstone Expo: A Senior Art & Design Show that will run from Dec. 1-15 at the Ferguson Center Art Gallery.
The top 15 students majoring in any aspect of art or design will be chosen for the Expo. Submissions can vary from senior class projects to work created specifically for the showcase.
“We are creating this exhibit to showcase these talented young creatives and expose these students to the gallery experience before endeavoring into the real world,” said Wesley Rorex, Ferguson Center Gallery coordinator.
Each selected student will be able to use the provided four feet of wall space however he or she prefers, but must abide by standard gallery guidelines. Exhibitors are encouraged to be as creative as possible with their assigned gallery space.
Deadline for Capstone Expo applications is Friday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m. Students can e-mail fergartgallery@sa.ua.edu for an application. Applications should be submitted either in person to Kelli Knox-Hall in 356 Ferguson Center or via email to her at kknox-hall@sa.ua.edu and Wesley Rorex at fergartgallery@sa.ua.edu.
