The performance will conclude the School of Music’s 2009-2010 Celebrity Series in UA’s College of Arts and Sciences.

“I think this is going to be a great concert that’s really fun, one that people will want to make sure they don’t miss,” said Charles Snead, director of UA’s School of Music. “It should be an appealing show for our very serious music connoisseurs, as well as for people who just enjoy good music that they can have fun listening to.”

Snead said Tonic Sol-fa effectively blends the genres of classical and popular music.

Tonic Sol-fa has sold more than one million copies of the six CDs they have released in the 12 years they have been together. The group performs about 150 concerts each year across the country. They have received numerous original song and album awards in pop, gospel and holiday genres, and also appeared on NBC’s “Today Show.”
