UA College of Arts and Sciences to Host Law School Fair

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama College of Arts and Sciences will host a law school career fair for students from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 20 in the Ferguson Center Ballroom on the UA campus.

Representatives from more than 35 law schools from across the country will be at the event to answer questions and distribute materials and information about their programs. The event is free and open to anyone considering law school.

“We have some really top-notch schools that will be represented,” said Wendy McMillian, director of Pre-Law Advising in the College’s Office of Student Services. “We have some excellent pre-law students on campus, so this is a great opportunity for them to speak to the schools directly.”

Among the dozens of law schools attending are UA School of Law, Penn State Law, University of San Francisco School of Law, Tulane University Law School and University of Illinois College of Law. Visit http://prelaw.ua.edu/ for a full list of schools, as well as additional information about the fair.

Students and others attending the law school fair should not bring application materials, but they are encouraged to bring business cards listing their contact information. Dress for the event is business or business casual.

If you have questions, please phone or e-mail Wendy McMillian at 205-348-7324 or wmcmilli@as.ua.edu.
