Parents Invited to UA Seminar on Generation Y

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Parents of University of Alabama students and those in the community who work with Generation Y (those born after 1990) are invited to campus Tuesday, Oct. 20, for an interactive seminar led by Dr. Tim Elmore, founder and president of Growing Leaders.

The seminar, designed to teach adults how to better relate to their students, will be held in room 33 of the UA Child Development Research Center from 6-8 p.m.

The seminar will cover topics such as how this generation differs from Generation X and the Baby Boomers, where they go for answers, why their minds work the way they do and what parents can do to relate to them.

This training session will accompany the Habitudes Experience offered to students on Monday, Oct. 19.

This event is free and open to the public and tickets can be reserved at www.crimsonartstickets.com. For more information about the UA event, go to www.parents.ua.edu; for more information on Growing Leaders, go to www.growingleaders.com
