Vadim Repin to Replace Itzhak Perlman in UA Celebrity Series Concert

Itzhak Perlman will not perform at The University of Alabama’s Celebrity Series Frank Moody Memorial Concert on April 12 due to a shoulder injury, but top-tier violinist Vadim Repin will carry on the show playing the same Concerto in D major by Beethoven with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday in the Concert Hall of the Moody Music Building on the UA campus.

UA Fans Attending A-Day Saturday Can Help Provide Drinking Water to Desperate African Families

Football fans attending the A-Day Game Saturday will get a chance to slake their thirst and, at the same time, help children and families in Africa who are desperately in need of clean water for drinking and bathing.

Students in The University of Alabama College of Human Environmental Sciences department of clothing, textiles and interior design will host Tee-Time, their annual, silent auction fundraiser, Tuesday, April 8, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in a tent located on the front lawn of Doster Hall.
