TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama’s department of theatre and dance presents the dark comedy “Reckless” Tuesday, Nov. 18, to Sunday, Nov. 23, in the Allen Bales Theatre on Stadium Drive in the UA Theatre District. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
“Reckless” takes us on the ride of lifetime when Rachel climbs out the window into the night on Christmas Eve to escape her husband’s insane plan to have her killed. When her effort to get away thrusts her into a world where crazy is the norm, she must determine her own sanity and restore the sense of order that she once knew. Directed by Guy Fauchon, Master of Fine Arts directing graduate student, “Reckless” is farce to be reckoned with. Parental guidance is suggested.
Tickets are $8 and available only for the Saturday performance. Tuesday- Friday and Sunday are sold out. For Tickets, phone 205/348-3400 or go to www.crimsonartstickets.com.
The department of theatre and dance is a part of UA’s College of Arts and Sciences, the University’s largest division and the largest liberal arts college in the state. Students from the College have won numerous national awards including Rhodes Scholarships, Goldwater Scholarships and memberships on the USA Today Academic All American Team.
