TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Due to Homecoming activities at The University of Alabama on Saturday, Oct. 6, the big screen TV will be moved from the Quad to the Soccer Stadium.
Fans are invited to watch the pay-per-view broadcast of the Alabama vs. Houston game free at the Soccer Stadium. The Soccer Stadium will open at 1 p.m. and close one hour after the game ends. Concession stands will be open, and fans may also bring their own refreshments into the stadium.
“With extra tents on the Quad for Homecoming this weekend, we need to relocate the big screen TV to a less crowded area,” said Gina Johnson, UA assistant vice president for auxiliary services. “The big screen TV has been very popular this fall, and we hope fans will enjoy the experience at the Soccer Stadium just as much as they have on the Quad.”
The Soccer Stadium is located adjacent to the Student Recreation Center. Parking is available at the east campus lots for $10 per vehicle. Crimson Ride gameday routes connect the east campus lots, the Soccer Stadium area and the Quad, so fans will not need to move their cars to go from the Quad to the Soccer Stadium. Fans should enter the Soccer Stadium from the Student Recreation Center parking lot.
The big screen TV was introduced to UA’s Gameday activities for the first time this fall. Plans are to return the TV to the Quad for future games.
