TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Capstone Engineering Society of The University of Alabama College of Engineering will hold the seventh annual CES Golf Tournament Thursday, April 26 at the Bent Brook Golf Course in Bessemer with registration beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The tournament is open to UA College of Engineering alumni, as well as the general public. The format will be a modified four-person scramble with a shotgun start at noon. There will also be a silent auction and raffle at the tournament. One of the prizes is a football signed by Alabama football coach Nick Saban.
Participation cost is $125 per player or $500 for a team of four. Registration includes green fees, cart, range balls, beverages, meals and a souvenir shirt. Individuals or twosomes are welcome and will be placed with a team.
Proceeds of the golf tournament benefit scholarships for University of Alabama engineering and computer science students.

The Capstone Engineering Society, established in 1973, is the alumni society of the College of Engineering. CES is dedicated to maintaining relationships and sharing resources with UA engineering alumni to ensure that the College is able to provide engineering and computer science students with a superior educational experience.
In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s fully accredited College of Engineering has about 1,900 students and nearly 100 faculty. In the last seven years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater scholars, Hollings scholars and Portz scholars.
