International Education Week Events to be Held at UA

logo_blu_bkgdTUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Capstone International Center at The University of Alabama will be holding numerous events on campus during International Education Week Nov. 14-18.

International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The goal is to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the U.S.

This year’s celebration at UA will feature a wide range of events including on Tuesday, Nov. 15, a mini study abroad fair from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Ferguson Center and a Japanese dance class from 1-5 p.m. in 121 B.B. Comer Hall, and on Thursday, Nov. 17, an Indian cuisine cooking class at 6 p.m. in 245 B.B. Comer Hall (advance registration required for dance and cooking classes). The Capstone International Center initiates, promotes and supports the University’s international efforts on campus as well as throughout the state and the world. The CIC supports students, faculty and staff in global outreach, teaching and research.
