Bama Dining Names New Director at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama and ARAMARK announced that Tim VanderMeersch has been named the new director of Bama Dining Service.

VanderMeersch has been with ARAMARK Campus Services for more than 13 years. He has been the director at Rhodes College for the past six years.

“While at Rhodes, Tim supervised campus-wide renovations of cutting-edge food service operations and that experience will be vital as Tim will be involved with the planning process for new board operations at The University of Alabama,” said Nathan Farmer, ARAMARK’s district manager.

Farmer said VanderMeersch would bring new ideas and energy to the University and its partnership with Bama Dining Service. VanderMeersch’s position became effective March 29.

“The Bama Dining management staff is a solid team and I am looking forward to the challenge,” said VanderMeersch.

VanderMeersch and his wife Darcy have twin daughters, Courtney and Haley, and a son, Quinn.
