Dr. Margaret Levi, 2007 Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar, will give a public lecture at The University of Alabama Monday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library. Her topic will be “Achieving good government – and maybe legitimacy.”
Acclaimed author Vinita Hampton Wright will give a reading from her most recent novel, “Dwelling Places,” on Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Morgan Auditorium on The University of Alabama campus.
The University of Alabama will premiere a composition by nationally-acclaimed hip-hop violinist and composer Daniel Bernard Roumain at an innovative concert on April 10. The original piece commemorates the heroism of the desegregation of the University through such important figures as Vivian Malone Jones and James Hood.
