The University of Alabama Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team won the Rocky Mountain Invitational in Denver, Colo., on Feb. 9, bringing their season record to 28-2.
The University of Alabama will host a High School German Day Wednesday, Feb. 20 in the Ferguson Center with some 400 students from eight Alabama high schools expected to be on campus for the event.
The University of Alabama will join public universities throughout the state in demonstrating support for higher education at two events planned for March 5 in Montgomery, just preceding annual Higher Education Day activities on March 6.

An awards ceremony and reception will be held in the lobby of the W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library on Monday, Feb.11 from 4-5 p.m. to recognize the 25th anniversary of the establishment of a Gay and Lesbian student group on The University of Alabama campus.

Dr. Neil Shubin, professor of anatomy and associate dean at the University of Chicago, will present his lecture, “Finding Your Inner Fish,” Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Biology Auditorium on The University of Alabama campus.
The University of Alabama Women’s Resource Center and the department of women’s studies will present their Brown Bag Series on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 12:30 p.m. in 308 Manly Hall.
Dr. Micki McElya, assistant professor of American studies at The University of Alabama, will give a lecture on “Confronting the Mammy Problem in the Montgomery Bus Boycott” in the Ferguson Center Forum on Feb. 12 at 6 p.m.
