A new book that pays tribute to former University of Alabama football players who served in the military during World War II will make its debut on Veterans Day Weekend. Crimson Tide veterans featured in the book, titled “When Winning Was Everything,” will be honored in a pre-game ceremony prior to the Alabama-Mississippi State game on Saturday, Nov. 13.
Ted Conover, author of the new book “The Routes of Man: How Roads Are Changing the World and the Way We Live Today,” will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 120 Farrah Hall on The University of Alabama campus.
