State Engineering Hall of Fame Inducts 2014 Class in Ceremony at UA

The State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame inducted six individuals and honored a corporation during a ceremony Feb. 15 at Bryant Conference Center at The University of Alabama.

UA’s Graduate Parent Support Program Wins Leadership Award

The American Council on Education has named The University of Alabama’s Graduate Parent Support program as the 2014 recipient of its State Network Leadership Award for the Advancement of Women in Higher Education. The award will be presented to Dr. Cori Perdue, director of GPS and UA Graduate School programs, at the Women’s Network Leadership Council reception, part of ACE’s 96th annual meeting in March in San Diego.

UA Psychology Professor Earns Distinguished Service Award

The University of Alabama’s Dr. John Lochman is the 2014 recipient of the American Board of Professional Psychology’s Distinguished Service Award, given annually to a certified specialist who has made outstanding contributions to the science and profession of psychology throughout his or her career.

Gaskin Named Associate Vice President for Advancement at UA

Keith Gaskin has been named associate vice president for advancement at The University of Alabama. Gaskin comes to UA from Mississippi State University where he has served as senior director of development since 2005.
