UA Mechanical Engineering Professor Receives Award

Dr. Yuebin Guo, assistant professor of mechanical engineering at The University of Alabama, was recently selected as one of nine engineering educators to receive the 2004 Society of Automotive Engineers Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award. The award was presented at the SAE Honors Convocation Luncheon in Detroit, Mich.

Alliance for Women of Color to Meet at UA

The University of Alabama Alliance for Women of Color, a newly formed group on campus, will hold an introductory reception on March 9 at 2 p.m. in the Alston Parlor, on the fourth floor of Mary Hewell Alston Hall, for all faculty and staff interested in learning about the mission of the group and meeting other women on campus.

UA Students Win Championship at Journalism Conference

Staff members of The Crimson White (CW), The University of Alabama student newspaper, won seven first-place awards and the on-site contest team championship during the 18th annual meeting of the Southeast Journalism Conference in Troy on Feb. 18-21.
