UA Professor Named Director for Climate Change Research Center

Dr. Duane T. Johnson, associate professor of chemical and biological engineering at The University of Alabama, was recently named director of the Southeast Regional Center for the National Institute for Global Environmental Change, headquartered at UA.

UA Alumna Helen Altman Opens Art Exhibit at Sarah Moody Gallery

University of Alabama alumna Helen Altman will open an art exhibit, “Patch of Blue,” in the Sarah Moody Gallery of Art, which will run from Sept. 2 – Sept. 26. An opening reception will take place on Sept. 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the on campus gallery.

UA’s School of Music Announces 2004-05 Celebrity Series Schedule

The University of Alabama’s School of Music is proud to announce its Celebrity Series concert schedule for 2004-05. This season’s four offerings are: Take 6; Gil Shaham, violin and Orli Shaham, piano; Frank Moody Memorial Concert with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra; and the Billy Taylor Jazz Trio. This year’s concerts offer a variety of styles. All four performances are sponsored by the Gloria Narramore Moody Foundation.
