The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded The University of Alabama a $6 million grant to assist with construction of a bridge over an existing rail line, U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby announced today. The overpass will decrease traffic delays and improve safety for residents in Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas.
