Plott Named UA NAA Vice President

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Betty Bartholow Plott of Blythewood, S.C., has been named vice president of Region 2 of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association.

Plott, a computer programmer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, graduated from UA in 1976 with a degree in interior design.

Since graduation, she has been highly involved with Region 2 of the UA Alumni Association, serving as president, vice president, treasurer and on the recruitment committee. Plott is also a Zeta Tau Alpha sorority alumni and member of Northeast Presbyterian Church.

The National Alumni Association is divided into 16 districts within Alabama and six regions outside the state. Each is represented by a vice president who serves on the NAA Executive Committee and makes decisions concerning the organization and funding of a variety of programs and events to benefit alumni, students and the University. The National Alumni Association supports UA through the combined efforts of its volunteer leadership, the alumni staff and more than 29,000 active members.
