UA School of Law to Open New, $15 Million Wing

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The $15 million building and renovation project at The University of Alabama School of Law will officially open Friday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in the red carpet area outside room 187 of the existing Law Center.

University of Alabama President Robert E. Witt will speak at the event, and tours of the new building will be available after the ribbon cutting.

The addition provides new classrooms, courtrooms, lounge areas, a cafeteria/dining area and new offices for faculty and administrative staff.

Dean Ken Randall led the UA Law School in the fund-raising effort, traveling throughout the state and nation to raise funds. Strong support from Law School alumni and law firms made the building project a reality. John Saxon (UA Law School class of 1977) served as chair of the Building Excellence Campaign.
