FOOTBALL GAME-DAY WEEKEND

ALABAMA VS. TENNESSEE — The Crimson Tide football team faces the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday, Oct. 26, at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. The game will be televised on CBS. Click here for the major highlights for this weekend’s game day, including how to stay in the know via Facebook, Twitter and UA’s mobile website. Additional information, including how to stay safe on game day in the case of severe weather, is available at the football game-day website.

  • How to Get in the Game — Whether you currently have tickets or need tickets, you will want to know how to “Get in the Game,” how the changes to the way student tickets are handled, how to enter the stadium (Gate 30 or 31) and how parking near the stadium affects you. For more information on the changes, visit the following sites: Action Card Office (click on Get in the Game 2013 Football Changes) or http://uagameday.com/football.
  • Parking Reminder — On game-day weekends during football season, many parking lots are used for Tide Pride and game-day parking. The following lots and areas must be vacated by 5 p.m. on Fridays of all home games: Colonial Drive south of Eighth Street, the south one-third section of the Coleman Coliseum lot, the Tutwiler main lot and “triangle” lot, the lower Student Recreation Center lot, the Northeast Campus Drive lot and the large lot east of the Moody Music Building. Re-entry to all faculty and staff lots, with the exception of the Ferguson deck, will be restricted after 5 p.m. on game-day Fridays. Click here for a map that shows the parking-lot closures.
  • Tailgating Reminder — Tailgating is an important part of every football season, especially on the Quad. Following campus policy for tailgating helps to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience. Friday is a regular academic day at UA, and classes are still in session until 6 p.m.; therefore, reserving areas for personal tailgates on the Quad is not permitted until after 6 p.m. on Fridays prior to home games. Reserving all other campus areas is not permitted until after 5 p.m. on Thursday evenings prior to home games. The only areas that are permitted to be reserved prior to these times are those that have been approved in advance through the campus grounds-use permit process. Violating campus policy can result in personal property being removed. For more detailed information, click on the following links:
