Morgan, Sharpe reach out to students

When co-workers Jacqueline Morgan and Shane Sharpe sat down to brainstorm about how to build a sense of community among their students in the University of Alabama’s Honors College, their solution was a runaway hit. Literally. They would all train for and run in a half-marathon. Both Sharpe, the dean of the Honors College, and Morgan, associate dean, are runners…That’s where the university’s duo will lead their students on April 25 when they enter the 10th Annual Country Music Half-Marathon. “Since Shane and I run, we thought, ‘Well, why don’t we try this out?’ And that’s what we did. We put the call out there and had an incredible response,” said Morgan. “Right now we’ve got about 40 students who are interested in training.”…
