Breakfast and Business Meeting at UA to be Hosted by Minority Business Forum

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The next meeting in the Breakfast and Business series will be held at The University of Alabama Tuesday, April 19, at 7 a.m. in the Bryant-Denny Stadium Recruiting Room.

The event is sponsored by the Minority Business Forum and the University.

At the meeting, speakers from various UA business areas such as procurement services, contracts, construction, purchasing and other offices will address the guests. The UA divisions of Community Affairs and Financial Affairs will serve as co-sponsors of the event with the Minority Business Forum.

“Like others in this series, this meeting will give minority vendors and contractors the chance to network with and hear from fellow suppliers, university officials and various service specialists to learn how to do more business with the University,” said Christopher H. Spencer, Breakfast and Business program organizer and director of community development at the UA Center for Community-Based Partnerships.

More than 60 business men and women from all over the state attended the last Breakfast and Business meeting, which was held on Feb. 15.

“Participants tell us they receive valuable information at these meetings,” Spencer said. “They establish useful contacts that have improved their businesses overall, as well as their opportunities to do business with the University in particular.”
