Program focuses on balancing stress, health

The University’s Office of Health Promotion and Wellness is hosting 12 Days of Wellness, a program targeted toward faculty and staff during this stressful time of year. Gas prices appear stable, but crude oil costs worry experts

Peter Clark, a chemical engineering professor at the University of Alabama who follows the petroleum markets, also doesn’t buy into the notion of $100 a barrel oil. Crude hit a record of $147 in July 2007, driving gasoline a record levels above $4 a gallon. Crude then fell below $50 a barrel in the midst of the recession in 2008. “A year ago crude was trading at $70 and it has been very volatile over the past month in the mid $80 range,” Clark said. “I don’t think we’ll hit $100 a barrel because consumption is nowhere near supply. Right now we have 2 million to 3 million barrels a day of excess production.”…

Prosecutors face unusual hurdles in Watson trial

Student organization promotes good health

UA grants awards to students, faculty

The five Premier Awards, the highest awards given by the University, honor a total of six students and two non-students, including faculty members.
