UA Football’s Shaun Alexander on Campus for Game Day Book Signing

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Former University of Alabama football standout and three-time NFL Pro Bowl selection Shaun Alexander will be at the Paul W. Bryant Museum on the UA campus Saturday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. to sign copies of his new book “The Walk” from Waterbrook Press.

Alexander was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks after a stellar football career at UA. In 2005, he set an NFL record by scoring 28 touchdowns. In the same season, he set a team record by gaining 1,880 rushing yards and leading his team to the Super Bowl.

Today, Alexander travels the country appearing in front of thousands of people and speaking to business and military audiences, and at sports camps, churches and conferences.

His new book examines the stages of spiritual maturity and how Alexander relied on his faith during injuries, struggles and disappointments.

Copies of the book will be available at the University Supply Store on Friday, Oct. 1, and at the book signing.
