Reserved deck permits on sale this week
Crimson White – Oct. 8
Students looking for a better place to park near ten Hoor Hall are now in luck, with nearly 150 parking permits being held for sale or exchange in the South ten Hoor reserve parking deck, located across from Alston Hall on Stadium Drive. Chris D’Esposito, assistant director of Transportation Services, said there is still a considerable amount of parking spaces that remain vacant throughout the day due to the varying schedules of the students. “We want to make sure that any students who want to park in that part of campus have that option, so they can upgrade [or] purchase a space,” D’Esposito said…
In a university with a centralized, pedestrian format, a reserve parking spot is well worth the money, D’Esposito said, because of the guarantee of finding a place to park as opposed to a commuter zone, with uncertainty of whether a student can find a convenient place to park. “You know that when that gate opens up, you’re going to find a spot in that deck to park,” D’Esposito said….
