Terry Saban promotes good health care for kids

Terry Saban, wife of the University of Alabama’s head football coach, preached Tuesday night about the important role that parents play in raising children. As adults, we’re responsible for three things with children,” she said at the Zone, inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. “Good health is one. Children have to be in good health to even focus in school. The second is social responsibility. We do that by being good role models. The third thing is education.” Saban spoke at a dinner for organizers of today’s health fair sponsored by Whatley Health Services in conjunction with Henry Schein Inc. and the Alabama Primary Health Care Association. “We chose Terry Saban because we really wanted to reflect well on the Tuscaloosa community,” said Deborah Tucker, chief executive officer of Whatley Health Services, a nonprofit health-care organization that provides comprehensive low-cost health care for Tuscaloosa County. “We wanted a speaker who had an interest in children and we thought Mrs. Saban would be a good person to reflect on children because Nick and Terry have a fundraiser called Nick’s Kids, which provides funding for agencies that serve children,” Tucker said…
