Children in the University of Alabama’s RISE program donned caps and gowns for their annual graduation ceremony. The program has helped prepare over 2,000 children for public school classes over the past 30 years.

“The concern goes beyond the fact that June represents the 10th consecutive month of declining monthly sales, as that was a foregone conclusion given the strength of last June’s pace, but rather to the size of the percent differential,” he said….

Seven players from the University of Alabama Wheelchair Athletics program will play in the 2008 Paralympic Games being held this September in Beijing. Team members named to the U.S. Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team are Stephanie Wheeler of Norlina, N.C.; Mary Allison Milford of Magnolia, Ark.; and Alana Nichols of Farmington, N.M. UA players from Canada named to the Canadian National Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team are Katie Harnock of Toronto; Tara Feser of Edmonton; Cindy Ouellet of Quebec City; and Janet McLachlan of Vancouver.
