TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Freshmen at The University of Alabama will complete their orientation process at Bama Blast on Monday, Aug. 20, an event featuring live music, a pep rally, good food and a host of other activities.
Activities will begin with an interactive welcome session at 11 a.m. on the UA Quad. Following lunch and information sessions, students will get the Crimson Tide spirit with a 5:30 p.m. Elephant Stomp from the Quad to Bryant-Denny Stadium.
At 6 p.m., Roll Tide Rock, a pep rally at Bryant-Denny Stadium, will feature the Million Dollar Band, Big Al and the cheerleaders, along with welcomes from UA President Andrew Sorensen and SGA President Jon Macklem.
Quadfest 2001 will begin at 7 p.m. and feature a Taste of Tuscaloosa, offering various types of food from area restaurants. A live band will also perform.
