TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity and Phi Mu Sorority at The University of Alabama want everyone at the Capstone to “Get on the Ball” for Children’s Miracle Network.
From March 31-April 4, members of ZBT and Phi Mu will roll a 6-foot (in diameter) ball across campus and ask everyone to sign their name in support of Children’s Miracle Network. For each signature on the ball, local businesses will donate money to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, the locally sponsored Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
On March 31 at 12:30 p.m., ZBT and Phi Mu will host a kickoff event on the Quad where such prominent Alabama notables as Kenny Stabler, Mal Moore, Bob Baumhower and Terry Saban will be the first to “Get on the Ball” and sign their names.
“This is a great way for us to raise awareness and funds for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network,” said Adam Diamond, a sophomore from Huntsville and ZBT Philanthropy Chair. “We hope to raise more than $4,000 during the week,” he said.
Children’s Miracle Network is an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for and awareness of children’s hospitals. Birmingham Children’s Hospital is the local Children’s Miracle Network participating hospital for the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa metro areas.
