Check Out the New Graduate Student Center in Capital Hall

The new Graduate Student Center has officially opened in Capital Hall welcoming individual graduate students and organizations to a corner of campus they can call home.

“The Graduate Student Association has been working to get a Graduate Student Center on campus for the past two years beginning with then-GSA President Quin Kelly and really picking up with GSA President Royce Dickerson and me last year,” said current GSA President Dalis Lampkins.

“Dr. Bell, Graduate School Dean Susan Carvalho, Associate Dean André Denham, Graduate School Director of Administration Kerri Morthand, GSA Advisor Tierney Jenkins, Chad Tindol, Tim Leopard, Dan Leon and Jennifer Baggett were all integral to advocacy for us to have a space on campus for graduate students to be able to come together,” she added.

The space will be open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. for graduate students and organizations to use.

The center is designed for graduate students to connect individually, with their graduate student organizations and with GSA.
