TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Wheelchair Athletics program will host the Canadian National Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team for a training camp Monday-Wednesday, June 9-11, at the Student Recreation Center.
Three members of the Canadian National team have ties to UA — Katie Harnock of Toronto is currently a sophomore on the UA Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team while Cindy Eulette of Quebec City and Tara Feser of Edmonton have committed to play for the Crimson Tide next season.
The Canadian team will train at UA before competing in the North American Cup at the Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham June 13-15.
This is one of many training camps and competitions for the Canadians this summer as they prepare for the Paralympic Games in Beijing this September.
