What’s New with Campus Parking and Transit for Fall 2025

From a smarter parking app to expanded payment options, these updates make getting around campus easier than ever.

The University of Alabama is introducing several new services this fall to make parking and transportation more convenient for students, faculty and staff.

Find parking smarter with Crimson Park

UA Parking Services has launched Crimson Park, a free mobile app designed to help users find available parking in real time. Using location services and crowd-sourced data, the app updates as spaces open and guides drivers to open spots across campus. Users who choose to set up a parking profile in the app can receive additional features based on their specific permit. This optional feature allows Crimson Park to display space availability by zone, send alerts if a user parks in the wrong zone and help locate their vehicle later.

Important things to know about Crimson Park:

  • Always allow location services for the most accurate results.
  • The more people who download and set up the app, the more accurate the service becomes—so be sure to share with your friends!
  • Setting up your parking profile allows the app to:
    • Show available spaces in your assigned zone
    • Notify you if you are parked in the wrong zone
    • Help you locate your vehicle

Note: You do not have to enter your license plate number during profile setup for these features to work—just your parking pass designation!

Crimson Park is available for iOS and Android. Learn more at bamaparking.ua.edu.

Pay for deck parking with Bama Cash

Faculty, staff and students can now use Bama Cash to pay for transient parking in the Student Center Parking Deck, Transportation Hub Deck, North ten Hoor Parking Deck and Capstone Parking Deck.

When using Bama Cash to pay for parking, be sure to:

Use the same credential to enter and exit the deck. (For example, if you tap in with your ACT Card on your iPhone, you must tap out with that same credential.)

Make sure you have enough Bama Cash loaded to cover your parking cost. You can add Bama Cash anytime using the eAccounts app (iPhone, Google or Samsung devices via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or by entering a credit/debit card) or through the ACT Card website.

Catch a ride to the airport

The Student Government Association Airport Transit Program, in partnership with UA Transportation Services and College Break Bus, offers shuttle service to and from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airports during fall, Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks. Advance reservations are required. Details, schedules and pricing are available on the College Break Bus website.
