UA Earns More Emmys, ADDYs

The University of Alabama Division of Strategic Communications and the Center for Public TV and Radio earned more accolades this spring awards season.

The CPTR again earned a Southeast Emmy Award during the June ceremony.

The Southeast Emmys is a regional chapter within the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences organization and includes entrants from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Asheville, North Carolina.

Other UA Emmy Nods

The Sports Emmys were awarded in May where Nick Saban, former University of Alabama head football coach, earned the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Personality/On-Air Talent for his work on ESPN’s College Gameday.

Justin Spring, the associate head coach of UA’s Women’s Gymnastics program, also earned a Sports Emmy for his work as part of NBC’s broadcast team during the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The American Advertising Federation ADDYs are the advertising industry’s largest competition recognizing collegiate and professional projects on local, district and national levels. 

The Division of Strategic Communications earned the following awards during AAF’s District 7 awards competition.
