Summer 2025 Construction and Road Closures

Several road closures and lane adjustments will affect campus travel this summer. Here is a complete list. For the most up-to-date information, check the campus map.

University Boulevard Closures

The biggest project this summer will be on University Boulevard, with construction occurring in two separate phases to minimize the impact on campus traffic:

  • Phase 1 (May 5-June 7): The section of University Boulevard between Colonial Drive and the entrance to Rose Administration will be shut down. Vehicles will still be able to travel north/south on Colonial as well as enter Rose Admin off University Boulevard if traveling from the east. There will be lane shifts in front of McLure Library and the fraternity houses on University Boulevard during this time, but both lanes of traffic will remain open.
  • Phase 2 (June 7-Aug. 1): The section of University Boulevard between Campus Drive and Colonial Drive will be shut down. Vehicles will still be able to travel north or south at both the Campus Drive and Colonial Drive intersections.

Hackberry Lane Shift

There will be a lane shift on Hackberry Lane near the railroad tracks at the intersection of 12th Street and 13th Street between May 5 and June 27. Both lanes of traffic will remain open.

Unleaded Fuel Pump Closures

The unleaded fuel pumps at the University Services Campus on Ruby Tyler Parkway will be closed for construction May 5 to Aug. 24. During this period, all UA vehicles should use the alternate fuel station located at 1227 14th Street for fueling purposes.
