President Donald J. Trump to Address UA Graduates at Special Commencement Event

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – A special commencement event is scheduled at The University of Alabama for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in Coleman Coliseum. 

The ceremony will celebrate the UA class of 2025 and feature an address from President Donald J. Trump along with comments from UA President Stuart R. Bell and Nick Saban, former coach of the Crimson Tide football team. 

Candidates for spring commencement will have priority seating as part of this special event. Free tickets were also offered to graduates’ guests; summer and fall graduates and their guests; as well as a limited number of tickets for faculty, staff and other students. 

Attendees are encouraged to arrive at least two hours early as enhanced security measures will be in place to ensure a safe event for all participants. Doors to the Coliseum will open at 3 p.m.

Parking for attendees will be available in the Soccer Lot that can be accessed from University Boulevard with shuttle bus services to and from Coleman Coliseum.

Previously planned college-specific commencement ceremonies where graduate names will be announced and degrees conferred are still scheduled for May 2-4.
