Outstanding Faculty Research and Creative Scholarship to be Recognized

The annual Faculty Research Day on March 24 will recognize outstanding research and creative contributions among University of Alabama faculty and celebrate the impact of UA research.

The University will honor the winners of the President’s Faculty Research Award in a ceremony beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Bryant Conference Center. Sponsored by the offices of the President and Vice President for Research and Economic Development, the awards go to outstanding faculty researchers from across UA’s colleges and schools.

“Our faculty are advancing knowledge and innovation in their fields while also contributing to the strength and impact of our research enterprise,” said Dr. Bryan Boudouris, vice president for research and economic development. “This year’s honorees are talented scholars recognized widely for their creative contributions to society.”

Nominations for the President’s Faculty Research Award are solicited annually from faculty, departments and colleges for emerging, mid-career and senior scholar awards. Each award category will honor a faculty member excelling in the areas of:

  • Arts and humanities
  • Physical and biological sciences, mathematics and engineering
