Students have the option of fresh food and other favorites at several spots on and off campus.

Changes to Look for at Bama Dining This Year

This semester, UA students might notice a few new ways to order food along with some new places to eat. Kristina Patridge, director of University Dining Services, shared a few changes coming to campus this month.

New This Year

Julia’s Market in Tutwiler Hall offers grab-and-go food, shakes and more.

Wendy’s Mobile-Only Ordering
The Wendy’s in the Student Center will be mobile-only ordering. Signage has been placed at the entrance as a reminder and also shared on Bama Dining’s social media.

Bama Dinopoly
Students have the chance to win one of more than 1,000 prizes playing Bama Dinopoly. It’s a fun way to learn about UA’s many dining options and have some fun in the process.

Julia’s Market
Julia’s Market in the new Tutwiler Hall is open and features a Boar’s Head Deli and Shake Smart. They will also continue to offer grab-and-go favorites.

One Free Meal Swipe at National Brands with the All Access Meal Plan
Students with the All Access Meal Plan may enjoy unlimited all-you-care-to-eat meals and snacks seven days per week at all locations accepting meal plans, plus they receive one VIP meal per day from any location accepting the VIP Meal Membership, including national brands.

UPerk No Longer Accepts Dining Dollars
UPerk has dropped from the Dining Dollars list this year, but they accept Bama Cash. There are plenty of coffee options on campus that accept Dining Dollars, such as Starbucks on Bryant Drive, Starbucks in the Student Center, Java City in the Cooper Café in Hewson Hall and Java City in Gorgas Library.

Not New, But Good to Know

Meal Plans: All Access
Student meal plans haven’t changed this year, but did you know about the All Access Plan? The All Access Meal Plan provides unlimited meal access for the student in two residential dining halls, and several additional retail locations. It includes 10 guest meals per semester. Plus, the All Access Plan also allows up to one VIP meal per day from any location accepting the VIP Meal Membership. If you don’t need or use all your guest swipes, you can donate them to other students.

Order Cakes and Cupcakes
You can order specialty cakes, cookie cakes and cupcakes through the University Bakery. Place your order, pay online and they do the rest.

Off-Campus Eats
Several restaurants around Tuscaloosa accept Dining Dollars, which are automatically added to student accounts with nine credit hours or more. Money can’t be added to Dining Dollars accounts but can be added to Bama Cash, which can be used at over 100 on- and off-campus locations.
