What’s Open, What’s Closed on Campus During Spring Break

Spring break begins at 5 p.m. Friday, March 11. Campus resumes normal operations Monday, March 21. Below is a list of campus services and facilities that are closed or operating with reduced capacity during the break. Information may change, so check individual websites for the most current information.

Reduced Hours

Bama Dining  

All Bama Dining locations will close Friday, March 11, at 5 p.m. 

During spring break, Starbucks on Bryant Drive will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and will be the only Bama Dining location open through Saturday, March 19. 

On Sunday, March 20, Lakeside Dining Hall will open at 10:30 a.m., and the following retail locations will open also: 

  • Mary B’s in Burke will be open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. 
  • Raising Cane’s in Paty Hall will be open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. 
  • Starbucks on Bryant Drive will resume normal hours and stay open until 8:30 p.m. daily. 

  The University of Alabama Student Center food court options will reopen Monday, March 21.  

IT Service Desk

The service desk adheres to UA hours of operation, but after-hours call-in service is available.

Libraries 

The Sanford Media Center, Hoole Special Collections and McLure Library will be closed during spring break. Hours of operation for Gorgas and Rodgers libraries can be found online.

Supply Store

The Corner Supply Store on Bryant Drive will be open: 

March 12-13: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

March 16, 18-19: noon-5 p.m.

March 20: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 

Both the Student Center and Town Center Supe Store locations will be closed during spring break. 

Transit 

Crimson Ride will provide on-campus/apartment service until 7 p.m. Friday, March 11. Operations will be suspended until 7 a.m. Monday, March 21, when service resumes. 

Crimson Concierge will operate until Friday, March 11, at 5 p.m. and will resume operations on Monday, March 21, at 8 a.m.

University Medical Center  

University Medical Center locations in Tuscaloosa and Northport will have reduced hours during March 14-18. Both locations will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with no evening clinic hours at UMC in Tuscaloosa. 

UMC locations in Demopolis, Fayette and Carrollton will have regular operating hours. 

University Recreation

Changed hours for all University Recreation facilities and the membership office are listed online.

Women and Gender Resource Center  

From 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 11, until 8 a.m. Monday, March 21, there will be a victim advocate on-call 24/7, accessible by calling UAPD at 205-348-5454.
