The Office, Clerical and Technical Staff Assembly has named Susan Noble and Brenda Parsons as 2019 Outstanding Staff.

The award recipients were announced at OCTSA’s May meeting, with Lynn Brooks, WVUA 23 news director and anchor, as presenter.
Noble, administrative secretary in the department of engineering student services, was recognized for her generosity and efforts in going far beyond the important administrative aspects of her job to show personal warmth, understanding and concern for staff and students alike. Whether she is making phone calls for anxious students or handling last-minute meeting details, Noble does so with grace and patience, according to the nomination materials.
Parsons, administrative secretary in the department of criminal justice, was nominated in part due to her compassion, humor, efficiency and wide knowledge of what her department and faculty need, according to recommendation letters. In addition to her administrative skill set, Parsons knows how to be diplomatic and forward-thinking, always anticipating what would be best for her department and co-workers.
OCTSA parliamentarian Allyson Holliday (pictured below) received a special award for service and dedication to the organization. A library assistant, she works with rare books and published materials in the W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library.
