Feminist Scholar to Present Humanities Lecture at UA

Dr. Catharine Stimpson, a pioneer in the study of women and gender and a founder of feminist criticism, will present “Waging War, Making Peace, Doing the Humanities: Why ‘Macbeth’ Matters” Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. in room 205 of Gorgas Library on The University of Alabama campus.

UA Offers Sorority Row Trick-or-Treat

The University of Alabama’s Panhellenic Association will host its annual Sorority Row Trick-or-Treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26. Children from the Tuscaloosa area ages 12 and younger are invited to dress up in Halloween costumes without masks and visit the lawns of the campus sorority houses on Magnolia and Colonial drives for candy and activities. Tutwiler and Harris residence halls will also host trick-or-treaters.

UA’s Creative Campus Holds ‘Art in the Park’

The University of Alabama’s Creative Campus presents Art in the Park, a day of free, hands on arts workshops designed for children of all ages, taught by University of Alabama students on Sunday, October 11 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Magnolia shelter in Snow Hinton Park, located on McFarland Blvd. across from McFarland Mall.
