DEADLINES

Wednesday, Aug. 26, is the deadline for domestic undergraduate and graduate students to enroll in the University’s sponsored health insurance plan. General information is available at http://shc.ua.edu/insurance. Following is additional information for all students.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Students should be aware of a widespread phishing and scam attempt by someone impersonating UA’s IT Service Desk and using a Crimson email address. More information: http://oit.ua.edu/2015/08/24/phishing-attack-august-24. Remember: The University of Alabama will never ask for this sort of information. Delete the message if you have received it. If you have replied to this message, change your myBama password now. Questions should be directed to the IT Service Desk at 348-5555 or itsd@ua.edu.

MyTickets is the student-ticket system at UA. You can access student tickets through myBama or the UA Mobile app with your student login. Important information:

  • MyTickets opens at 1 p.m. on the Sunday prior to a home football game and closes at the start of halftime.
  • Tickets will have either “upper” or “lower” deck assignments. Students with upper-deck tickets should enter Gate 30; students with lower-deck tickets should enter Gate 31. You will be turned away if you attempt to enter the wrong gate.
  • The penalty for not using a ticket is now 2 points
  • Deadline for late ticket donation is now Wednesdays at 5 p.m.
  • Ticket donations accepted until one hour before kickoff.

University Libraries has launched a new website and created a video and blog post to provide information and help with transition to the new Web presence. Users can provide feedback through the Web Services Contact Form.

VOLUNTEER/COMMUNITY SERVICE
