TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — David Dinielli, deputy legal director of the Southern Poverty Law Center, will deliver the keynote address for the LGBT Antidiscrimination Law and Policy after “Hobby Lobby” symposium at 12:15 p.m. March 27 at The University of Alabama School of Law.
Dinielli spearheads the SPLC’s LGBT Rights Project and the Economic Justice Project. He joined the SPLC after a long career with the Los Angeles law firm Munger, Tolles & Olson, LLP, where he specialized in complex litigation and played leading roles in important LGBT rights cases.
Along with Dinielli, the nation’s foremost experts on gay rights will discuss the effects of the “Hobby Lobby” decision during a one-day symposium sponsored by the Alabama Civil Rights & Civil Liberties Law Review.
It begins at 8:45 a.m. in the Judge Seybourn H. Lynne Lecture Room, room A255.
