UA’s Student Judiciary to Offer Coaching Character Discussion

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Student Government Association’s Student Judiciary will host its third annual Coaching Character lecture series at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in the Ferguson Center ballroom on campus.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is designed to provide opportunities for students, faculty and the public to interact with distinguished athletic and campus leaders to gain insight on how maintaining strong character is important for a positive, healthy life.

Keynote speakers for this year’s event are Coach Bill Battle, UA athletic director, and Star Bloom, director of the Al’s Pals after-school mentoring program, which pairs UA students with area elementary school students.

The Student Judiciary is the judicial branch of the UA SGA. In addition to official duties, judiciary members are committed to adhering to the values laid out in the Capstone Creed and encouraging others to follow the Capstone Creed by hosting and sponsoring various programs geared towards engaging students throughout the academic year.
