ANNOUNCEMENTS
ALABAMA FOOTBALL TEAM WELCOMES TEXAS A&M ON SATURDAY — This week’s football game against Texas A&M kicks off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will be televised on CBS. Stadium Entrance — The student section will open 2 1/2 hours before the game. Please allot 60 to 90 minutes to get into the stadium, whether or not you participate in student organization seating. Student organization seating is in effect until 45 minutes before kickoff. Students may enter the stadium through Gate 30 (upper deck) and Gate 31 (lower deck) only.
Prohibited Items — Bryant-Denny Stadium and all other Alabama athletics facilities prohibit the following items:
- Oversized bags over 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches (includes backpacks, purses, etc.)
- Chair backs larger than a single seat (16 inches wide)
- Coolers
- Weapons
- Artificial noisemakers (bells, horns, whistles, cow bells, etc.)
- Outside food or drink
- Strollers
- Umbrellas
- Video recorders or camcorders
- Computers
- Cameras with telephoto lenses over 6 inches long
- Flags and banners on poles
Stadium Express Lanes — Express Lanes are located at gates 10, 18, 36 and 38 to help the flow of people entering the stadium on game days. Fans with tickets in the lower bowl of the stadium on the east and west sides who do not have any items that have to be checked by stadium security can gain access into the stadium through these special gates without having to wait for bag or certain other item searches. Fans in those areas are still required to enter via the gates designated on their tickets but, within their gate assignment, now there is an Express Lane gate. Read the “Battle Plan” for details.
University Supply Store Game-Day Hours — The University Supply Store locations will be open as follows on Saturday, Oct. 18:
Ferguson Center: 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Tent on the Quad: 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Bryant Museum Game-Day Hours — The Bryant Museum will be open on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Tailgating Reminder — Tailgating is an important part of every football season, especially on the Quad. Following campus policy for tailgating helps to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience. Friday is a regular academic day at UA, and classes are still in session until 6 p.m.; therefore, reserving areas for personal tailgates on the Quad is not permitted until after 6 p.m. on Fridays prior to game day. Reserving all other campus areas is not permitted until after 5 p.m. on Thursday evenings prior to game day. The only areas that are permitted to be reserved prior to these times are those that have been approved in advance through the campus grounds-use permit process. Violating campus policy can result in the removal of personal taping and property.
