Law enforcement officers will conduct multiple training sessions in and around Palmer Hall May 20-22. Loud noises, including flash bangs, simulated gunfire and reports from training weapons, may be heard in the area during the sessions. The University of Alabama Police Department sessions will last from approximately 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. and again from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, and Wednesday, May 21. A joint agency effort, the Tuscaloosa Metro Special Response Team, will conduct training in this area from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 22.
Students will not be able to access their Blackboard courses from 1 a.m. on May 29 until 5 p.m. on May 30 due to required Blackboard system maintenance.
The Ferguson Mail Center has temporarily relocated to the Bryant Conference Center due to construction at the Ferguson Center. Students may collect their mail and packages at the Bryant Conference Center receptionist lobby each Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For security purposes, students must present their University ACT cards to collect their items. Students who have mailbox rentals at the Ferguson Mail Center may also collect their mail from the Bryant-Conference Center during the same hours. No outbound mail services will be provided. The closest Crimson Ride stops to the Bryant Conference Center are the Crimson Route, with drop-offs at the Moody Music Building parking lot and Sewell-Thomas Stadium, and the Crimson Express Route, with drop-off at the Moody Music Building parking lot.
All textbooks and course materials for all summer terms have moved to the Tutwiler Hall location of the University Supply Store and will remain there through the end of summer during the construction and renovation of the Ferguson Center. More information: Bernadette Chavira-Trull at 348-2384.
Notary public services have been relocated to 200 Riverside Community annex due to ongoing renovation of the Ferguson Center. Call Sherry Phillips at 348-0710 or Cassie Schultz at 348-4536 to schedule an appointment.
Crimson Ride is operating its summer schedule. Hours of operation are 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday only. The 348-Ride service will operate 6 p.m.-7 a.m., Monday-Friday and weekends.
