TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Donna Cox Bridger Endowed Lectureship will present, “If Disney Ran Your Hospital,” a day-long event March 7 at The University of Alabama.
Author, medical administrator and training developer Fred Lee will speak about going from good to great in patient perception. The event, held in UA’s Capstone College of Nursing, room 1008, begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 4:15 p.m.
Pre-registration, which is encouraged because of limited space, is available by phoning 205/348-9876. Register at the door from 7:30 a.m. until 8 a.m. on the day of the event. The cost is $50 with a discounted student rate of $25. The lectureship offers nurses 7.0 contact hours of continuing education.
Lee has been both a senior vice president of a major medical center and a cast member at Disney University. His book, “If Disney Ran Your Hospital: 9 1/2 Things You Would Do Differently,” was awarded the 2005 Book of the Year from the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Established by Joseph C. Bridger to honor the memory of his wife, Donna, the lectureship promotes awareness of current topics in nursing and health care from an interdisciplinary perspective. The event is open to University of Alabama faculty, students, healthcare professionals and the community.
