UA to Feature Work of Student Writers, Dancers, Artists

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama invites the public to Collaborama, a presentation of collaborative work from student writers, dancers and artists. The event is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Morgan Hall Auditorium on campus. Admission is free.

Collaborama is the result of a semester-long cross-disciplinary project by the classes of Robin Behn, UA professor of English; Sarah Barry, UA associate professor of dance;  and Sarah Marshall, UA associate professor of art. The event will feature a gallery space in the Morgan Auditorium foyer that showcases original prints and printer-writer collaborations.

Inside the auditorium, student presentations will include original dances set to both music and texts, collaborative writing pieces and the classes’ four final projects, each of which is the result of a collaboration among writers, dancers and visual artists.
